VOLUNTEER/FOSTER
Love is all you needOur volunteers and fosters are an integral part of what we do, and we are constantly in need of fosters and volunteers. Fostering helps us save lives by providing a temporary, loving, and restful retreat for animals in need. We provide all supplies and cover all vet care; fostering does not cost you anything but time and love!
We are always in need of volunteers! From helping at our events to taking care of animals and assisting at the clinic, we have several volunteer opportunities available.

FIND YOUR NEW BEST FRIENDOne of the best ways to reduce the overpopulation of stray or unwanted pets is to adopt! Our rescue program is for dogs, cats, birds, guniea pigs, ferrets and small animals that are pulled from community owners and local municipal shelters. Transports are utilized often, and our partnerships with our networking rescues are invaluable. We are proud to uphold an unfaltering relationship with the Bulloch County Animal Shelter and its wonderful staff.
All of our animals are spayed/neutered and given all vaccinations before they are released to their new home.

MEET… Francine 💕🎀
Francine is a ~1yo certified dollbaby who starts purring the second she sees you—no petting required (but she’ll absolutely accept your offerings).
She’s sweet, sassy, and fully committed to being your little shadow. If you’ve got a lap, she’s in it. If you’ve got a hand, she’s rubbing her face all over it. She’s the queen of cuddles, a certified lap heater, and will gaze at you like you’re the last can of tuna on Earth. She gets along with other cats and would probably be happy with a respectful dog sibling, as long as they mind their manners.
She is spayed, up to date on her vetting, and ready to claim her throne as the center of your universe!

I want draco!
Michael Gervin
This week we were asked to help with a situation that’s sadly all too familiar—one that quietly spiraled out of control until it couldn't be ignored.
Seven adult dogs, all unaltered, now scheduled to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped in the next two weeks. From those seven came twelve puppies…twelve innocent lives born into a world that simply doesn’t have room for them.
This isn’t a case of cruelty. The owner is overwhelmed, not heartless. He buys food by the pallet. He’s trying. But what started as one "oops" litter turned into three more the next year. And now, the problem has grown beyond him- and fast.
This is typically how it happens. Quietly. Quickly. With good intentions but no safety net. And unless we step in- with help, with spay/neuter, with compassion and community- the cycle never stops.
Meanwhile, we’ve got four dogs at our clinic waiting for foster homes. Several more are coming back into our care next week. We’re knee-deep in two feral cat situations- one in Bulloch where we’ve already fixed nearly 30 cats, and another in Sylvania where we still have at least a dozen more to trap.
We are tired. Emotionally. Physically. Financially.
People say, “I don’t know how you do it.” And the truth is…sometimes we don’t.
Sometimes we cry in our cars after saying no. Sometimes we lie awake at night wondering if any of this is making a dent—or if we’re just pouring from an empty cup. We give up weekends, plans, sleep—all for animals that don’t even belong to us. Because someone has to.
And more often than not, we say yes with no plan. Just hope. Hope that someone out there sees a post like this and decides to step up.
So here we are, again, begging. Not for a miracle. But for $5. Because $5 adds up. It gives just a sliver of breathing room. It helps us keep saying yes.
And most urgently—we need puppy fosters.
Twelve babies. No place to go. We cannot help them without you.
If you can’t donate or foster, please share. 🙏🏼
And please, please advocate for spay and neuter. It’s the only way this changes. Because we’re tired of patching holes in a sinking ship while the water keeps rising.

We found two abandoned cats in a field close to our farm in Daisy. We picked them up and took them to our barn to rescue them. I brought them to your amazing clinic and had them both fixed and vaccinated. I am so appreciative of your facility and the good work you all do! Thank you all for everything and I will donate!

We love being a foster!
MEET… Crosby! 🩵
Crosby is a ~9 month old happy-go-lucky fella who’s always smiling- literally! He’s easygoing, affectionate, and ready to bring nonstop joy to his forever family. He adores kids, gets along great with all animals, and is always up for a good play session. Ropes, balls, toys—if it squeaks or bounces, Crosby’s in!
This playful boy thrives in an active home where he can burn off his energy and have fun with his people. He loves romping with other dogs and has gotten along with every pup he’s met so far. While he’s still working on polishing up a few manners, Crosby already knows sit, shake, and goes into his crate on command like a champ. Plus, he’s both crate and potty trained!
Crosby is the total package of fun, sweetness, and potential. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy with a big heart and even bigger smile, Crosby’s your guy 🫶🏼

What a handsome boy he is.😍
He’s a handsome fella for sure!
We don’t have just one pet to spotlight this week because honestly, we’re drowning.
Yesterday we were asked to help a cat. Not just any cat- a baby, ~6-8 months old, who just gave birth. We had one open foster, so we said yes.
Then we found out she had NINE kittens. A literal baby, now raising nine of her own.
And while we’re doing what we always do—cleaning kennels, scooping litter boxes, giving meds, answering messages, coordinating fosters—we’re also watching our inbox fill up with pleas for help. Dogs on death row. Puppies dumped in boxes. Seniors surrendered after years in a home.
And every one of them deserves a shot. But we’re at capacity.
We’ve got 8+ dogs still waiting for foster homes- some who've already been waiting weeks.
We wish people understood what an absolute crapshoot animal welfare is right now. Shelters are full. Fosters are tapped out. Donations are down. Intakes are at an all time high.
And the only way to stop this cycle—for good—is SPAY & NEUTER. That’s it. No adoption event, no feel-good fundraiser, no perfect family can undo what happens when animals are left to multiply in a world with nowhere for them to go.
So today we’re asking for $5. Not because it's a miracle fix. But because right now, it means a bag of food. It means chipping away at the vet bill that keeps us up at night. 🙃
And maybe—just maybe—it means we can say yes to one more.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you. 🫶🏼
If you’re able to donate, it truly helps keep us going. If you can’t give, sharing this post could be the reason someone else does. And if nothing else, please talk about spay/neuter. It’s not the glamorous part of rescue, but it’s the ONLY way this ever gets better.
