VOLUNTEER/FOSTER
Love is all you needOur volunteers and fosters are an integral part of what we do, and we are constantly in need of fosters and volunteers. Fostering helps us save lives by providing a temporary, loving, and restful retreat for animals in need. We provide all supplies and cover all vet care; fostering does not cost you anything but time and love!
We are always in need of volunteers! From helping at our events to taking care of animals and assisting at the clinic, we have several volunteer opportunities available.

FIND YOUR NEW BEST FRIENDOne of the best ways to reduce the overpopulation of stray or unwanted pets is to adopt! Our rescue program is for dogs, cats, birds, guniea pigs, ferrets and small animals that are pulled from community owners and local municipal shelters. Transports are utilized often, and our partnerships with our networking rescues are invaluable. We are proud to uphold an unfaltering relationship with the Bulloch County Animal Shelter and its wonderful staff.
All of our animals are spayed/neutered and given all vaccinations before they are released to their new home.

Any idea when they will be ready?
Spinner’s story was supposed to be one of hope and happiness. This gentle, loving fella spent his early days behind shelter walls, waiting for a family to call his own. And this summer, he finally found it—he left the shelter and stepped into what he believed was his happily-ever-after.
But this week, our hearts broke when we received a call from animal control. Spinner had been found alone, in excruciating pain, with a devastating wound likely caused by a trap. His leg was so badly injured that there was no choice but to perform an emergency amputation to save his life. ❤️🩹
Through it all, Spinner has shown incredible resilience. Even with immense pain, he remained meek & mild—still eager for love, still hopeful for kindness. Spinner may have lost a leg, but he hasn’t lost his spirit or his will to love and be loved.
Today, we are reaching out with a heartfelt plea to help Spinner find his path to healing and true happiness. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a tremendous impact on Spinners long road to recovery. He has truly shown incredible strength through unthinkable pain. Now, he just needs a community of supporters to rally behind him. 🙏🏼❤️

Today’s Meet Me Monday is calling for a literal Hail Mary… 🙏🏼🚨
Lilac, our sweet 3-4-year-old house hippo, is in desperate need of a safe, loving home. She’s a one-of-a-kind gem—gentle, endlessly affectionate, and overflowing with love for her people. But right now, Lilac is living in a kennel at our clinic after her long-term foster situation changed, and it’s breaking her heart (and ours).
Lilac is a sweetheart to the core, gentle and devoted, with nothing but love to give. She lights up around people, ready to give her heart to anyone who’ll give her the chance. 💜
But there’s a catch—she needs to be the only pet in her home. Lilac also has food and environmental allergies, so she requires special care. She eats Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach (Salmon), will require seasonal allergy shots (Cytopoint) to keep her skin happy, as well as monthly anal gland expressions with a groomer or vets office.
We know Lilac’s needs make her a rare match, hence why we're calling for a Hail Mary. We’re asking for a miracle—a unicorn family who can love Lilac just as she is and give her the stable, happy life she deserves.

Ahoy, kind hearts! Meet Blinky, the bravest little pirate kitty who came to us from a local shelter! This sweet girl arrived with a ruptured eye which called for emergency surgery to remove it. 💔
Thanks to our incredible vet team, the surgery was a success and despite the rough start, Blinky has kept her sweet spirit and is now embracing life as a one-eyed wonder! 😻 With her enucleation surgery behind her, she’s on her way to a happy and healthy life filled with love.
But as you might imagine, getting here here wasn't easy. Between enucleation surgery, medications, and post-op care Blinky's journey has added up well over $1,000, and that’s just for this little pirate alone. Every dollar donated means we’re better equipped to save more animals, just like Blinky, who might otherwise not have a chance at their own happy endings.
If you’re able to contribute, Blinky and her fellow rescue mates would be forever grateful! Even the smallest donation helps us cover the cost of her surgery, follow-up care, and the ongoing expenses for all our other fur-babies in need.
