VOLUNTEER/FOSTER
Love is all you needOur volunteers and fosters are an integral part of what we do, and we are constantly in need of fosters and volunteers. Fostering helps us save lives by providing a temporary, loving, and restful retreat for animals in need. We provide all supplies and cover all vet care; fostering does not cost you anything but time and love!
We are always in need of volunteers! From helping at our events to taking care of animals and assisting at the clinic, we have several volunteer opportunities available.
ADOPT
FIND YOUR NEW BEST FRIENDOne of the best ways to reduce the overpopulation of stray or unwanted pets is to adopt! Our rescue program is for dogs, cats, birds, guniea pigs, ferrets and small animals that are pulled from community owners and local municipal shelters. Transports are utilized often, and our partnerships with our networking rescues are invaluable. We are proud to uphold an unfaltering relationship with the Bulloch County Animal Shelter and its wonderful staff.
All of our animals are spayed/neutered and given all vaccinations before they are released to their new home.
Adoption applications are required to adopt through FTB!

They are SO beautiful! 😻
These are the sweetest kittens!! 😍❤️
Here we are again, humbly reaching out for your support on this $5 Friday with multiple cases that require costly care.
Two of our rescues Lady and Mudbug both tested positive for heartworms. Heartworm treatment is no small feat. For each dog, it can cost over $1,000, and it involves months of restricted activity, several rounds of medications, and multiple vet visits. It's a tough, expensive road to recovery, which is why we stress the importance of prevention so much. Preventing heartworm is far easier—and kinder—than treating it!
This week, we’ve also covered the cost of spaying and neutering 16 community pets through our Spay It Forward program, which is a vital part of our ongoing efforts to reduce overpopulation and prevent even more animals from suffering. While we’re proud of this, it also means our resources are stretched thin. The financial strain can feel overwhelming, but every dollar you contribute makes a real difference in continuing this crucial work.
We know there are countless worthy causes, and we are deeply grateful to those who choose to support our mission. With your kindness, we can continue to help homeless and community pets live healthier, happier lives 🩵 ... See MoreSee Less

Twice in a week we’re asking for help, but sometimes we have needs that cannot go without attention.
Earlier this week, we were contacted about a gaggle of Chihuahuas needing some immediate assistance, as their sweet owner unexpectedly passed away leaving them with no where to go. The dedicated woman who reached out had also reached out to almost every group in a 100 mile radius, and while everyone I’m positive wished they could help- none could. Full, broke, over capacity with dwindling adoptions and foster homes getting more scarce by the month.. it’s the broken song all rescues are currently singing.
Yesterday, we decided to load the cars with crates and necessities just to head out and take a look at the dogs. We told ourselves we would assess and make a plan, get some help together. We know this game all too well, though- generally once we arrive, and lay eyes on those in need, we don’t leave them. Can’t leave them.
And so they came back with us.
These babies are horrified, but they were once so very loved. They’re looking through us for the only man they knew and loved, and are so very confused. But with some determination and patience, we’re extremely hopeful for them to come around to the love we want to give them.
We are extremely grateful for our friends at Screven County Spay & Neuter Corp. and their willingness to take 5 of these babies. While they, too, understand this will be a potentially slow process, Becca and her team have dedicated themselves to giving them the time they need to decompress and start coming around. Teamwork absolutely makes the dream work in these situations.
Here’s the big thing— we now have 6 unexpected pint-sized puppers to fully vet. That’s 6 sets of vaccines, dewormer, spay/neuters, microchips, heartworm tests and treatments and monthly preventatives.. that’s 6 bellies to keep full, 6 fosters to find, and with all of the hope in the world, 6 adopters to find when they’re ready.
We need you. We say it often, but we truly cannot do what we do without your help. Every dollar, every share, every supply purchased or word spread is everything to these animals who without the safety net of rescue, would have nothing left.
With fingers crossed and breath held, we ask again— Can you find it in your heart this $5/Friday to help us give Tadpole, Otter, Mayfly, Newt, MudBug, and Cricket a new, deserved “leash” on life? ... See MoreSee Less

Today, we are coming to you humbled, vulnerable, and honestly desperate. Rescue work is not for the faint of heart. It’s waking up every day knowing there will likely be more heartbreak than joy, more tears than smiles, and more animals in need than we could ever possibly save. But we show up anyway—because if we don’t, who will?
On this #GivingTuesday, we need your help more than ever.
Meili and Ming, two 8-week-old Poodle/Shih Tzu mixes, came to us when their owner was forced to make an impossible decision. Both puppies had been diagnosed with canine parvovirus, a cruel and life-threatening disease, and their treatment would cost thousands of dollars. With no way to afford the care, the owner surrendered them to us, hoping we could give them the chance they deserved.
We fought hard. We always do. But sometimes, even everything you have to give isn’t enough. Sweet Ming’s little body couldn’t take it. He crossed the rainbow bridge, leaving us shattered. 💔 His sister Meili is still fighting, and we are doing everything in our power to save her.
The cost of parvo treatment starts at $3,000 per dog. It requires round-the-clock care, IV fluids, medications, and hospitalization in isolation. Even then, survival is never guaranteed. It’s grueling—for them, for us, for everyone who dares to hope. But Meili deserves a chance.
Right now, though, our rescue is drowning in critical cases. Dogs hit by cars. Sick, abandoned puppies. Seniors discarded like trash when they need love the most. The weight of deciding who we can help and who we simply cannot afford to save is something that weighs on us every single day.
And on top of that, we’re staring down $15,000 in emergency clinic repairs. The strain is unbearable. But we are still here, showing up for animals like Meili—because we have to.
This is the reality of rescue. It’s holding a puppy like Ming as he takes his last breath, knowing you did everything you could but still feeling like you failed him. It’s the faces of the animals you couldn’t save—because there wasn’t enough money, space, or time—haunting you at night. It’s pleading for help because you know the only thing standing between these animals and death is you. It’s the heartbreak of deciding who to save when your empty bank account says, “no more.”
We need our community now more than ever. We need you. Not only for Meili and the many others that need us, but for the future of our rescue. If you can give, even a small amount, it will mean the world to us and to the lives we’re trying to save. And if you can’t, we understand. But please consider sharing this post with someone who might be able to.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in us and for standing by these animals when the world has turned its back on them. 🩵 ... See MoreSee Less

Just sent some on Venmo!🤍
Fred Herring In all seriousness, do you think your comment is going to convince them to just let the puppies die? The point is they're going to try and help every animal they possibility can. Spaying and neutering is obviously a huge part of that operation, so is fostering, adoptions, and generally helping out in extreme situations where everyone else would've said no. (Also, nothing would be free. The whole operation costs money. They pay for food, vetting, supplies, etc. The adoption fee only covers a very small part of the average total bill per animal.)
my poor babygirl got parvo & it was super expensive, i wish this on nobody, the pain is unbearable at times, she’s still fighting her battle with the savannah animal hospital, always pray everyday for that baby, i can’t even visit her because of how contagious it is
