Reason for Rehoming:
Masha (maw-shuh) is the littermate to Luna. I acquired them both to help a friend who needed to rehome them. I wasn't looking to get any new pets, since I already have 5 dogs and a lot of cats, but since I have a large property I thought I would make it work. Fast forward 7 months, and it is not working out, mostly because both dogs, Luna and Masha, are wandering off my property and getting into trouble with the neighbors. Masha (and Luna) is smart and trainable, but I just decided I don't have the time to do this. Also, it is a financial burden to have so many dogs. I just overestimated my ability to handle the situation. They really are both great dogs: gentle, smart, and beautiful. It would be great if they could stay together. They keep each other company.
Additional Comments:
Masha was mostly outdoors, but she now has to stay inside. I do let her out everyday for exercise. She is trained to spend extended periods of time in her crate. She views her crate as a safe place. She is very smart and easy to train. She is very affectionate. She can be nervous around strangers, but she is very loving and devoted to me as her main caretaker. She has the markings of a German Shepherd, but she is obviously a mix (floppy ears like a lab). She is not aggressive enough to be a guard dog. She is very affectionate.
